Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Special implements
- Survey Corps steed
Newest Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature skills: Naoe introduces a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-lethal stealth takedowns.
